The “Gil-Ad” website aims to allow equal use by people with disabilities, in accordance with Israel’s Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.
The site was developed with a commitment to accessibility, including:
- Full keyboard navigation, including the gallery dialog;
- A “Skip to content” link and standard semantic structure;
- Screen-reader support;
- Alternative text for every image;
- Proper color contrast;
- Respect for the operating system’s “reduce motion” preference;
- Adaptation to narrow screens and enlarged display.
Internal accessibility checks were carried out in July 2026 with automated tools and a manual keyboard-navigation review, and the defects found were fixed. A comprehensive screen-reader check is planned before launch. Some parts may not yet be fully accessible; we work to improve continually.
Having difficulty using the site? We would be glad to fix it: write to
[email protected] and we will reply within [14] days.
